If you are ever in the mood to make dinner with the kids try this. We made Potato mice. Step 1 wash and dry the potatoes, prick the skins with a fork put the potatoes on a baking sheet, brush with oil and bake until soft. step 2 cool enough to handle, cut the tops off in an oval shape and scoop out the inside. step 3 mash the soft centers with butter, milk, 1/2 c grated cheese, salt and pepper. Then put the mixture back in the potato skins. Step 4 sprinkle with more cheese if you want and broil till cheese is golden. Step 5 decorate your potato to look like a mouse. I used gr onions for the tail and the wiskers only because I couldn't find fresh chives for the wiskers, raisins for the eyes, black olives for the nose and pepperoni for the ears. I had to get creative. Thats it, then I made south of the border chili and we had a delicious, fun dinner together!!

The finished products!!!

We had so much fun carving pumpkins and eating doughnuts. We had some very creative pumpkins also, we had a kitten, a headless horseman, a witch, a sick pumpkin and a whatever you imagine pumpkin. They all worked very hard on them. I think D gets the award for best first time ever carving a pumpkin award. We had homemade doughnuts also. Thank you to the Rands for hosting such a fun halloween get together.
